When Faith and Alexander are run out of Vegas by the Divinity Symposium they flee to Beverly Hills and seek the protection of the God of Los Angeles. But with a young starlet gunning for his deity, he has his own troubles to deal with.
As familiar faces arrive from Las Vegas, a group of physicists in the Santa Monica hills have their own plans for using the California Gothic. Meanwhile, an old friend of Faith's from Orange County surfaces with a hidden agenda and a talent for sparking chaos in the city.
Caught in the middle of the fight for the city, and with the Divinity Symposium closing in, Faith must either run or stand her ground for a showdown in Los Angeles.
